At Siemens we are exactly doing this. Our about 1,000 AI experts have this domain know-how which is needed to create value for our customers by combining the real and the digital worlds.

在汽车行业，人工智能已经成为提高生产力的决定性因素。我想和大家分享汽车制造企业北京奔驰的故事。西门子帮助北京奔驰成功提升了其冲压车间的生产效率。在冲压工艺过程中，振动能够显示出机器的健康状况。然而，要人工监测并分析所有振动是不可能完成的任务。

In the automotive industry, AI has already become a game changer to improve production. Let me share an example from the car manufacturer Beijing Benz Automotive. We managed to improve the production of the stamping process. Here, vibrations can tell the health of a machine. For humans it is impossible to track all vibration activities and analyze them.

但是，基于传感器所生成的数以百万计的数据点，通过数据科学和人工智能技术，我们能够轻松追踪振动情况。结合西门子专家的行业知识，就可以做出预测。我们的人工智能解决方案在工厂部署后不久就识别出了一个异常振动规律，由此触发提前预警，帮助客户避免了设备故障。

But with data science and AI we can track them easily with sensors and its millions of data points. Combined with the domain know-how of our experts, we can make predictions: Shortly after deployment in the factory, our AI solutions recognized an abnormal vibration pattern. This triggered an early warning which helped to prevent e failure.

这就是人工智能如何在现实世界创造真正的价值。

This is how AI translates into real value in the real world.

当然，要取得这样的成果，需要深刻理解客户及其运营中所面临的挑战。此外，双方需要建立互信、共享数据。但即使有了Zui高程度的互信，数据仍有泄漏的风险，安全系统仍有被破防的可能。

To make this possible, one needs to understand the challenges of the customer and his operations. Also, we have to trust each other and share data. But even with the highest levels of trust, data can be stolen, or security can be breached.

因此，接下来我想谈谈网络信息安全。中国已经意识到这一议题的重要性，这与西门子不谋而合。例如，我们能够提供带有数字身份认证的软件产品，以确保客户仅从可信的源头获得软件更新。

This brings me to cybersecurity. China has recognized the topic already, as we at Siemens. For example, we can offer software products with a digital birth certificate to make sure that customers only get updates from the right source.

同时，我们正在帮助挪威进行铁路基础设施的整体改造。挪威包含超过11000个信号机和300个联锁站的传统系统将被数字化系统取代，新系统仅有一个数字化联锁和一个数据中心。西门子之所以能赢得这个项目，原因就在于我们能够提供无与伦比的数据安全解决方案。

Or in Norway, we are supporting the country to transform their entire rail infrastructure. The analogue system with over 11,000 signals and 300 interlockings will be replaced with a digital system that uses one digital interlocking and a data center instead. We won this contract only because we could offer a solution for unmatched data security.

因此，保证网络信息安全是成功实现数字化转型和人工智能应用的必要前提。上海市市长也曾指出这一点，他提到要大力发展网络安全产业，有效提升网络安全的韧性。他也强调，协同合作至关重要。

So, cybersecurity is a must for a successful digital transformation and artificial intelligence applications. The Mayor of Shanghai pointed this out as well, he mentioned cybersecurity has to be enforced to ensure a more resilient and safer digital world. And he has also said collaboration is important.

这也带出了我想谈的第三点。今天，与各方伙伴的精诚合作比以往任何时候都更加重要。没有一个国家或组织能够凭一己之力实现数字化转型，或释放人工智能的全部潜能。

This brings me to my third point. Today, it is more important than ever to work together with partners. No country or even an organization can master the digital transformation or unlock the potential of AI on its own.

大家要以更开放的心态紧密协作。如果想要真正为客户提供帮助，那么也要倾听供应商的想法，以此构建一个开放的生态，每一方都能作出贡献，同时亦有所收获。

You have to work very closely and openly together. If you really want to help a customer, you also must listen to suppliers. This leads to an open ecosystem where everybody brings something in and is able to take more out.

举例来说，我们在中国建立了人工智能实验室，与超过15个合作伙伴共创解决方案及应用。一直以来，我们也与清华大学保持着密切合作，Zui新的一个合作项目是建立工业智能和物联网联合研发中心，重点聚焦人工智能领域。

For example, we have an AI Lab in China where we co-create applications and solutions with over 15 partners. And we maintain a close collaboration with Tsinghua University. One of the latest projects is a Research Center for Industrial Intelligence and Internet of Things with a strong focus on AI.

明年将是西门子与中国携手同行的第150个年头。随着时间的推移，西门子已经成为中国经济bukehuoque的一部分，并在这里建立了完整的本地化价值链。来自政府、客户与合作伙伴的高度认可让我们倍感自豪。

Next year, the partnership of China and Siemens will go back 150 years. Over time, we have become an integral part of the Chinese economy with a fully localized value chain. We are proud to have the recognition of the government, customers, and partners.

因此，我们非常高兴受到上海市政府的邀请，为长三角地区提供面向下一代汽车工业的数字化赋能平台方案的建议。

Therefore, I am very happy that we are invited by the Shanghai Government to provide a proposal for a digital enabling platform for the next generation of the automotive industry in the Yangtze River Delta.

我们的建议是，建立一个基于平等合作伙伴关系的生态系统，实现在中国乃至不同国家之间的技术、数据、商业和人才的交流融合。此外，还需要通过引入网络安全等技术，来进行监管。

My recommendation would be to leverage an ecosystem of equal partners, to achieve the convergence of technology, data, business, and talent not only in China, but also across countries. In addition, it is also needed to develop regulation for example by introducing cybersecurity technologies.

和10多年前我在中国生活的时候相比，发生在这里的巨变让人惊叹。中国经济和社会已经如此先进、繁荣，并如此具有韧性。这是多么了不起的成就！

When I look back more than 10 years when I lived in China it is amazing to see how much has changed since then. How much more advanced, prosperous, and how much more resilient Chinese economy and society has become. What a remarkable development!
